Ron Strickland (born Ma ) is an American conservationist, long distance trail developer, and is the founder of the 1,mile (1, km) Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail (PNT) and of the proposed transcontinental Sea-to-Sea Route (C2C). He is the author of nine books including his memoir Pathfinder: Blazing a New Wilderness Trail in Modern America. The Pacific Northwest trail is a 1, mile route from the continental divide in Glacier National park to the western most point in the contiguous US, Cape Alava in the Olympic National Park.
